Mahindra’s KUV100 Proves It’s Safety
Generally, nobody really likes talking about car accidents but a recent collision between a Mahindra KUV100 and a compound wall has shed some light on build quality, durability and safety. While the Mahindra XUV300 has been classified as the safest car in India, it’s now the turn of the smallest car to put a feather in its cap as the Mahindra KUV100 saved lives in this accident.
What The Mahindra KUV100 Wall Collision Reveals
According to reports from the accident, the driver of the Mahindra KUV100 was speeding. After losing control of the vehicle, he rammed into a compound wall after crashing through a house gate which it destroyed completely. As images of the accident shows, the compound wall was hit with one side ending up in pieces.
While the Mahindra KUV100 is totalled, it could’ve been much worse as the damage seems focused on the front. There is severe damage to the compact SUV’s bonnet, bumper and side fenders which have all crumpled up. The engine bay took most of the impact while the chassis has also slightly twisted but it appears that the tyres, alloy wheels and doors were not affected much, if at all.
Fortunately, all occupants were safe and emerged without any injuries. It looks like the mid-spec trim Mahindra KUV100 did a tremendous job keeping everyone safe, especially if you consider how big the impact must have been. It just goes to show the importance of good components, quality assembly and the addition of some safety features, especially when faced with such a serious accident.
Safety Features On The Mahindra KUV100
The Mahindra KUV100 is a compact SUV that offers a stunning design, tall stance and a range of external and interior accessories that are impressive for a budget car. In terms of safety, the base model gets dual airbags as standard, ABS with EBD and a collapsible steering column. All of these safety features, along with the quality build, contributed greatly to the occupants walking away with no injuries.
When you go further up the range to the Mahindra KUV100 NXT K6+ and K+, you will see a long list of added features. They get Park Assist, rear parking camera, rear parking sensors and ISOFIX, Automatic Hazard Lights on Panic Braking, front fog lamps and Engine Stop-Start among other driver comforts.
This particular Mahindra KUV100 accident proves its strong build quality and safety. Mahindra cars have always been known for a good build, durable engines, safety as well as generally long-lasting shelf life. The Mahindra KUV100 is undoubtedly the smallest of the lot but could be following in the footsteps of the bigger Mahindra XUV300 in terms of safety.
