A Tough Choice – Mahindra XUV300, XUV500 or XUV700?
In the South African SUV market, there are three standout models from India. The Mahindra XUV300, 500 and 700 differ in size, but not in excellence.
Choose One – Mahindra XUV300, XUV500 or XUV700
Goldilocks famously was very picky about what she wanted. This porridge is too hot, that too cold, this is just right. Ditto chairs. Goldilocks would have had a field day with the Mahindra XUV range of SUVs.
The XUV range takes Mahindra into the top tier of the best-selling SUV class. The three models range from compact to medium-sized to bigger. All three are sharp-looking, with striking lines and striking alloy wheels.
The XUV300 is a compact model, which does not mean small by any means, just smaller than the other two cars. It has earned the accolade of “the safest car in Africa” with 5 stars in the Global NCAP test. The XUV is available in three trim levels, the W4, 6 and 8.
Our next model is the mid-sized XUV500. It comes in four trim levels, the W4, 6, 8 and 10, and boasts over 25 automotive awards globally. This car has a powerful 2.2-litre mHawk Diesel engine and gives you the option of 2×4 and AWD.
Not only is the XUV700 the biggest SUV in the range, it, like the XUV300, had an excellent score in the Global NCAP test and won the “Safer Car” Award for the safest car in India. You can get this magnificent SUV in three trim levels: the AX5, AX7 and AX7 L.
To help you and Goldilocks choose the Mahindra XUV that is just right, here is a table comparing the three models. For the sake of brevity, we used the specs from the top trim levels, so some features will be specific to that.
