The 2022 Mahindra XUV300 Is Here!

Mahindra has hit the sweet spot with the new Mahindra XUV300. The Indian-automaker has certainly shaken up the market with its SUVs, and the XUV300 is among the most well-balanced SUVs we’ve seen in the South African market.

When it comes to SUVs – demand a lot. It has to be appealing and confident, whilst also being composed, yet adventurous. SUVs must be completely urban friendly, yet able to satisfy the urge to get away, leave the city and take on the world just beyond. The XUV300 rises to this challenge. It will comfortably handle bumps and potholes, with its high ground clearance, front and rear parking assist makes city parking a breeze, and its high-profile tyres and solid build gives it a strong road-presence. The new XUV300 safety features are undoubtedly formidable, as it achieved a 5-star safety rating from the Global NCAP – earning it the ‘safest car in Africa’ accolade.

The Mahindra XUV300 is a great SUV and you should definitely experience this urban beauty first hand by book a test drive at one of our Group1 Mahindra Showrooms in Cape Town or Johannesburg!

Having said that, we look forward to testing the XUV300 petrol unit as it appears to be the fuel of choice in the segment for the foreseeable future. The 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system is standard across the range and is intuitive to operate. Navigation is built in, but W8 versions further feature Android Auto and Apple Carplay compatibility. What’s more, the interface comes replete with a Bluesense app that can connect with your Smartwatch/ phone, track your driving patterns and score you on a set of eco metrics.

What SA Motoring Experts Say About The Mahindra XUV300

“The automaker says it has sold over 1000 XUV300 models since it first launched here in South Africa just over a year ago, and that’s an incredible feat for a brand new model in the country.

And, it’s not difficult to understand why: looks have improved, build quality, improved materials and equipment, and it’s not only one of the most affordable cars on the market in its segment, but also extremely frugal. For South Africans, it ticks all the right boxes.”

“In terms of safety, the XUV300 carries a 5-star Global New Car Assessment Programme (GNCAP) safety rating and is equipped with at least 2 airbags (up to 7 airbags in W8 trim), ABS with EBD, brake assist, electronic stability control and hill hold assist (W8).”
